Eisenhower matrix of decision making

 Dear readers,

In life the most important skills we needed is to be highly effective at any given time. But as irony of our education system this type of skills we don’t learned during our schools or colleges.

That’s why for the most of the days we struggle to make two ends meet. However in the world there are few individuals who master the quest called “ Decision making or time management”. One such person is US precident Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Dwight D. Eisenhower once said: “The most urgent decisions are rarely the most important ones.”

Eisenhower was considered a master of time management. In other words he had the ability to do everything as and when it needed to be done. With the Eisenhower method, we will learn to distinguish between what is important and what is urgent.

Whatever the job that lands on your desk, begin by breaking it down according to the Eisenhower method and then decide how to proceed. There are four fields in the model widely known as Eisenhower priority matrix.

1. Urgent and important

2. Not urgent and important

3. Not important and urgent

4.Not urgent and not important

We often focus too strongly on the “urgent and important” field, on the things that have to be dealt with immediately mostly due mental pressure this field creates. But if we look out closely these are the important tasks that we ignored for some time and hence they becomes urgent. But for most of the time you don’t have the option to do it immediately.

If  you spend most of the time in the field of urgent and important then it represents your deathbed mentality. You must have to step out from this mentality and ask you a question when I do important task before they become urgent task.

Now the most important field : Not urgent but important.

This is the field where most magic happens. But this field requires major course correction. That means all the remaining three fields making enough effort in such a way that you don’t have a time to think about important but not urgent task.

Few examples for important but not urgent task like daily workout, daily meditation or pursue the skill that enhance probability of your growth. But these type of task never creates pressure on you. That’s why we have to do it the task which are important but not urgent purposefully with conscious decision. The outer world tried 99% effort that you are comes out from the field of not urgent and important task. Social media and mobile phones are real threat to the task related to the field of not urgent but important because of they creates constant disturbance. That’s why we have to create little bit course correction to avoid such disturbance.

The rest of two fields i .e.field of not important and urgent and field of not important and not urgent is the field we need not to discuss about. Its like gossiping rather than trying to be master of one's self. Avoid time spend on this field. Always remember that to live in these two filed is the sin you do to your self.

The Best stratergy for great life

Plan can or can not be worked but law always works.  The few examples of laws here we discussed are 1. Law of appreciation or gratitude.  2. Law of Giving...

How to live really good life.

I statred this blog with little bit off the way for purpose. Have you ever notice, something negative happened in the morning ruined entire day or something happened to you and according to your perception the event is negative, suddenly change your thought pattern from normalcy to negative.  If you read news paper and after reading some news you instantly transformed into victim mode and start complaining regarding to current scenario or even started to cursed God for the same.  I’m sure you also heard some cases in which two brothers or father and son not even spoke single word for twenty odd years because some arguments that occured twenty odd years ago. A women bruttely raped and killed. A cases of suicides, murder or kidnapped.  Now wait for a minute. Whats your feeling. Just mindfully notice. It's positively anticipation for reading something or just influenced by words that creates negative feeling.  Don't worry if its positive or negative.  J...
